Chairman - Edward
Firstly, I would like to welcome you to the Bromley Radio Car Club website page. I hope this article gives you some idea of what we are trying to achieve here at the BRCC and that the club would appeal to you to become a member and enjoy some fun bashing or racing of your RC car. I am the owner and founder of the BRCC and I am working hard with other RC friends to make this club a reality with a great offroad track to use for local RC car enthusiasts
As Chairman of the BRCC I hope I can lead this club to become a reality for all locals to enjoy, the RC Car hobby is an enjoyable one that will last for a long time, and something defiantly worth getting in to/sticking to. I will have hurdles to cross to make this club a success but with my friends and my enthusiasm to do this I hope I will succeed.
Introduction
The BRCC was set-up end of April 2008, the club is not officially listed nor does it own an offroad track as of yet. The team and I are working to find a suitable piece of land we can use to create an offroad track for Buggies, Truggies and Monster Trucks.
We are hoping to bring more people into this ambitious project to get the club up and running, our main problems is creating funds to get land and to build the track etc along with all the necessary safety and security to maintain the track.
The team and I are working to create a presentation to hand to Bromley Council's Amenities department to see if we can get their support to set-up this club, as this club would potentially be a good thing for the RC community, public parks, members of the public and also for the younger people to keep them away from crime. The club would create a social community place for people to talk about their cars, bash them, have fun and general other things that come to mind. We also have a Recreation Form situated in the local hobby shop Avicraft near Normans Park, if you would like to show your support for a offroad track etc please feel free to pop into Avicraft and to sign the form, just ask a member of staff where it is.
There is a lot of work to be done by the team and I, this will take time, but we do hope we can succeed and create a fun club with a good track for all local RC car owners to enjoy! We are even thinking of adding an on-road track eventually once we have the funds for a second track and have established BRCC as a permanent club to stay!
If you would like to help in any small or large charitable/free time way just contact us on the BRCC email.
