Introduction
The B.R.C.C was setup to create a local RC Club for the local RC Community. At the moment the club is in its early statges and we do NOT own a offroad track as of yet. However we are working on that, this will take time but we hope here, the small team of us that are working on this, will become a dream come true.
We here at the BRCC believe that a local offroad track would provide a great benefit to not just the RC Community that is based here in Bromley but also for members of the public, public parks, and especially the youths. We constantly hear about how youths are going round doing unecessary acts of violence in the sake of looking cool, we hope that this club could be a place where youths can have a place to socialise with people their own age and of course other RC Car enthusiasts. A place that would provide a great offroad track to bash/race their cars and to have fun, chat, compare cars and just to have a laugh instead of having to use the public parks and causing problems for members of the public
News
The BRCC are looking for people who are willing to join our small group of people;. Edward, Dean James and Steve who are working to create an offroad I.C track in Bromely. So far we have been very unlucky in finding land as two suitable pieces where found but sadly we where too late to use them as they had already been given out, how ever the search still goes on! At the moment our best option is to rent land as we do not have the funds to buy our own land.
Research is being done to find a suitable permanent piece of land to rent to place the track, preferably locally in Bromley and not too close to residential housing as that’s the least thing the BRCC want to get into trouble with.
The BRCC want this track not just so that people can enjoy racing or bashing their cars, but so that we can show RC car owners do care about members of the public that use the public parks etc, and to provide a place that is in a controlled environment and has safety implemented to ensure the least chances of anyone getting hurt from an I.C car.
The track would also be a great focal meeting point for all RC owners in Bromley to socialise and also for the younger people, the children; kids ; adolescents, to have a place to go to bash their cars and learn more about the RC hobby from other RC car owners, a place to keep away from crime.
Bromley is a beautiful borough but it does lack facilities for the smaller community minorities, simply there is nowhere safe to go to race a RC car, without members of the public being around. Most members of the public are fine with the RC cars being driven around pertaining they are not used to intimidate them; I have even had members of the public come up to me and ask about my car and chat.
As many would agree in the phrase:
“All revved up and nowhere to go”
This is true, there is no off road I.C track, and therefore those of us that own a RC car have to use the public parks which at times are not always ideal. So if your interested in helping the BRCC in any small, big or donation contribution please contact Edward at BRCC Email or even register on our forums
I hope I can get this going as this would be a great thing to achieve for locals in Bromley who own RC cars and also for the RC World and business’s including Avicraft!
